Flagler College Athletics

Dana Heimen of the women's tennis team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week for the period ending May 7.

Heimen helped Flagler advance to the NCAA Division II Round of 16 for the second consecutive year. Her win at No. 3 singles clinched the match against Georgia College & State University last Tuesday. She rallied from dropping the first set 7-6(3) by winning the next two 6-0 and 6-4. Heimen teamed with Luisa Hrda to win their doubles match, 6-2.

The Ketsch, Germany native is ranked No. 67 in Division II in singles and is ranked No. 18 in doubles with Hrda. She is 25-4 overall in singles and is 11-2 in doubles when paired with Hrda.
