Monique Whiteman was selected as the Athlete of the Month, sponsored by Holiday Inn Express for the month of March.
 
Whiteman was selected as the athlete of the week on March 21.
 
This is the second time Whiteman has received honors, as she was named the November Athlete of the Month.
 
(From the March 21 release) Whiteman broke the 5000m school record at the River City Classic with a time of 17:16.62 to place third. The Bulls, New Zealand native currently holds the fastest 5000m time in the NCAA Division II Southeast Region after her first track meet of the season.
