Sharale McCormick of the women's basketball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Feb. 5.

McCormick averaged 24.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game last week as Flagler split its two games. The North Lauderdale, Florida native scored a career-high 25 points on 11-of-20 shooting in an 80-74 loss at Columbus State University last Saturday. She poured in 24 points and grabbed seven boards in a 59-53 victory over Georgia College. 

McCormick is fourth in the Peach Belt Conference in scoring average (15.6) and field goal percentage (41.6) and sixth in free throw percentage (80.4).
