Jaylen Lemons of the men's basketball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Dec. 11.

The Cincinnati, Ohio native scored 25 points, with the help of seven made 3-pointers, in an 86-85 overtime loss at the University of North Georgia to open the Peach Belt Conference slate. His three-pointer at the buzzer sent the game to overtime. Lemons' seven treys are the most by a Flagler player this season.

For the season, Lemons leads the Saints with a 16.4 points per game average and his 28 three-pointers along with his 48.3 shooting percentage behind the arc also leads the club. He ranks fifth in the PBC in scoring and is second in 3-pointers made per game (3.1). Lemons leads the league in 3-pt field goal percentage and is seventh in assists per game (3.7).
