Luisa Hrda of the women's tennis team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week for the period ending May 8.

This is her second consecutive athlete of the week honor and her third this season.

Hrda posted a 2-0 record at No. 1 singles and 2-0 at No. 1 doubles at the NCAA Division II Southeast Region No. 2 as she helped lead No. 11 Flagler College to its first NCAA Division II National Championship berth. The Aschaffenburg, Germany native clinched the match for the Saints on Saturday with her 7-5, 6-2 win over Newberry College's Zulay Castaneda, who was ranked No. 18. Hrda is No. 5 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association's national singles rankings. She is one-half of the No. 8 doubles team in the country.

This season, Hrda is 31-6 overall in singles and is 19-3 this spring. She is 6-2 against nationally-ranked singles competition. As a doubles player, Hrda is 26-7 overall and 20-5 this spring.
