Philipp Lemken of the men’s tennis team was named Athlete of the Month, sponsored by St. Augustine Inn, for the month of April.
Lemken was named player of the week on April 25.
(from the April 25 release) Lemken posted a 2-0 record in singles and went 3-0 in doubles play last week as the Saints won all three Peach Belt Conference matches. His win in singles last Tuesday won the match for Flagler over then-No. 1 Columbus State University, 4-3. He defeated Felix Steen, at No. 4 singles, 5-7, 6-4, and 6-4. This was the program's first win over a top-ranked team as a NCAA Division II program. The Saints also clinched at least a share of the PBC regular season crown with their win on Saturday.
