Jalen Barr of the men's basketball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week following the period ending Dec. 5.
The sophomore forward from Charlotte, North Carolina averaged 15.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 4.0 steals per game as Flagler posted a 2-0 record last week. He shot 70.6 percent from the field, 75.0 percent from the free throw line, and added three blocked shots. Barr scored 10 points and grabbed nine rebounds in an 83-61 win over the University of Fort Lauderdale (Nov. 30). He tallied a career-high 20 points and tied his career-high with five steals at Spring Hill College (Dec. 3).
For the season, Barr is averaging 9.1 points, a team-best 7.8 rebounds, and 1.8 steals per game.
