Donovan Garcia of the baseball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending April 25.
Garcia led the team with a .500 batting average, going 12-for-24 at the plate, to help the Saints go 6-0, which included a three-game sweep of No. 14 UNC Pembroke, The Odessa, Florida native had four doubles, a triple, five runs batted in, and scored seven runs. In the series vs. UNCP, Garcia batted .538, as he went 7-for-13 at the plate, with a pair of doubles and he scored two runs.
For the season, Garcia leads the team with a .384 batting average and has 33 hits, five doubles, one triple, one home run, 14 RBI, and he has scored 12 runs. Â
