Sara Carr of the women's soccer team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Dec. 15.

Carr was selected to the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship All-Tournament Team. The Charleston, West Virginia native played all 90 minutes on Friday in No. 3 (United Soccer Coaches Top 25) Flagler's 2-0 loss to No. 7 Western Washington in the second semifinal.

The Saints capped an incredible season with a 23-1-1 record. They were the Peach Belt Conference regular season and tournament champions.

Carr was a first-team all-conference and a first-team D2CCA All-Southeast Region honoree. She finished the season with three assists and led the field players with 2,073 minutes played. Carr anchored a defense that recorded 11 shutouts and allowed a miniscule 0.75 goals per game. In the five matches she played in the NCAA Tournament, Carr tallied two assists and logged 408 minutes.
