Charlene Nowotny of the women's soccer team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Sept. 15.

Nowotny peppered the Lynn University goalkeeper with six shots on goal in No. 22 Flagler's 3-0 win last Saturday. She tied her career high with nine shots. Nowotny finally broke through with a goal in the 86th minute to cap the scoring. Five of her shots came in the first 45 minutes and three were on frame.
