Felicitas Runkel of the women's tennis team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending April 7.

Runkel recorded a pair of wins over nationally-ranked opponents in No. 1 singles this week. She also went 1-1 in doubles play. On April 3, Runkel got the win over No. 64 Itxaso Blanco of Embry-Riddle who had to retire in the first set with the score tied at 4. Earlier today, she defeated No. 59 Emilia Richter of Georgia College 7-6(2) and 6-3. In doubles today, she teamed with Paloma Martinez at No. 3 for a 6-0 win.

Runkel is currently on a five-match winning streak in singles play.
