Raquel Kulak of the volleyball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Oct. 21.
She led the Saints with a .406 hitting percentage last week in two matches. Against Augusta, Kulak recorded a career-high nine total blocks in a four-set loss to go along with a match-high 17 kills. She hit a sizzling .519 in the match. In a four-set win over Georgia College, Kulak contributed 15 kills and hit a robust .324.
She is second in the PBC in hitting percentage, fourth in kills and solo blocks, fifth in block assists and total blocks, sixth in kills per set, and seventh in blocks per set.
