Tabitha Odabe of the women's basketball team was selected as the Athlete of the Month, sponsored by Sleep Inn, for the month of January.
Odabe was the athlete of the week during the month for the period ending Jan 14.
Odabe became the first Flagler women's basketball player to record a triple-double when she scored 20 points, grabbed 21 rebounds and blocked 12 shots to lead the Saints to a 71-49 win at Young Harris last Saturday. The Keystone Heights, Florida native tied a PBC record with those 12 blocks, which broke a Flagler record, and her 21 rebounds tied a Flagler record. She averaged 16.5 points, 15.5 rebounds and 7.0 blocks per game to help lead Flagler to a 2-0 week.
Odabe averaged 11.3 points, 13.9 rebounds and 4.3 blocks per game for the month. She had a double-double in seven of the 10 games she played in.
