Sara Davis of the volleyball team was selected as the Athlete of the Month, sponsored by Sleep Inn, for the month of November.
Davis was the athlete of the week twice during the month for the periods ending Nov. 6 and 13.
During the week of Nov. 6, Davis helped guide Flagler to a 3-0 week as she recorded 33 kills (3.30/set), hit .346 and had 12 total blocks (1.20/set). She became the ninth player in the history of the Flagler program to eclipse the 1,000 kill plateau.Â
During the week of Nov. 13, Davis helped Flagler to a 3-0 week as the Saints clinched a share of the Peach Belt Conference regular season the title. She led the team with 41 kills (4.10/set) and hit .372. Â
For the month, Davis hit a team-leading .339 as she racked up 124 kills (3.88/set) with 30 errors on 277 swings. She also collected 30 total blocks and had seven service aces. The Saints went a perfect 9-0 in November.
