Jabe Molinaro of the baseball team was selected as the TraveLynx Athlete of the Week, for the period ending May 8.
Molinaro batted .538 to help lead Flagler to a 3-0 sweep against Francis Marion and clinch a berth to the Peach Belt Conference Tournament. He tied for the team lead with seven hits in the series which included a double, triple and a home run. Molinaro drove in a team-high eight runs and scored another three runs. He topped the team with a 1.000 slugging percentage. In the second game of the doubleheader on Friday, Molinaro went 3-for-4 and was a double shy of the cycle against FMU's Matt Kelley who earned national pitcher of the week honors a couple of weeks ago.
For the season, Molinaro is batting .330 with 334 hits, three doubles, four triples, two home runs and 31 RBI.
