Bryce Evans of the baseball team was selected as the TraveLynx Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Feb. 21.
Evans helped lead the Saint to a 3-1 week after hitting a team-best .566 (10-18) with a double, two triples, three runs batted in and four runs scored. He held a .833 slugging percentage and a .556 on-base percentage for the week. Evans started week by going 2-for-4 with a double, a triple, three RBI and a run scored to help the Saints rally past Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, 8-4. He had a pair of singles in the opening game of the series at Georgia College, but closed the series in style going 5-for-5 with a triple and a run scored on Sunday.
Evans is tied for the conference lead in triples with two.Â
