Flagler College Athletics

Caitlyn Kovach of the volleyball team was selected as the TraveLynx Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Oct. 25.

Kovach collected a team-high 51 digs, had three service aces and five assists as Flagler posted a 2-0 week. In the match Friday at Francis Marion, she collected a career-high 36 digs to help the Saints to a five-set victory. The 36 digs were the most by a Flagler player since Casey Gnann's 41 at Augusta State University (Nov. 2, 2012). Kovach's 36 digs is tied for third-most in a match this year in the Peach Belt Conference. 

Kovach is sixth in the PBC in digs (344) and fourth in digs per set (4.59). She has moved into second place all-time in digs with 1,682.
