Tori Volz of the softball team was selected as the Sizzlin' Saint award recipient, sponsored by Applebee's, for the month of April.

Volz batted .400 with a team-high 12 hits and scored eight runs while knocking in another six. She hit her first career home run, an inside-the-park homer, at Fort Valley State University. Volz led the team, in April, in total bases (19) and slugging percentage (.633).
