Tori Volz of the softball team was selected as the TraveLynx Athlete of the Week, for the period ending April 12.
Volz batted a team-high .476 as she went 10-21 at the plate with two doubles, a triple and an inside-the-park home run, her first career home run, to help Flagler to a 4-2 week. She collected six runs batted in and scored six runs. Volz recorded a .810 slugging percentage, as a slap hitter, and a .500 on-base percentage. In the field last week, she played center field, second base and third base.
Volz is batting .279 this season and is tied for second on the team in runs scored (25) and is a perfect 5-for-5 in stolen base attempts.
