Jodie Wadovick of the cheerleading team was selected as the Sizzlin' Saint award recipient, sponsored by Applebee's, for the month of November.
"Jodie came to the Flagler cheerleading squad this year having never cheered before," said co-head cheerleading coach Nicki Hicks. "We quickly learned, however, that that wasn't going to stop Jodie from being an integral team member."
"Jodie quickly proved herself by becoming a sponge: she sucked up every bit of knowledge she could by listening, talking to, and learning from her teammates and her coaches," added Hicks. "As her teammates can attest, Jodie is a constant ray of sunshine on our team: consistently demonstrating her positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow to make the team more successful in any way she can."
"Jodie is unwilling to give up, no matter how difficult a task we set before her, and she inspires her teammates to do the same. As with many things in life, attitude is 110% apart of a task, and Jodie's unyielding positive and open attitude make her a pleasure and important part of our team."
