Shelbi Lindsey of the women's basketball team was selected as the Student-Athlete of the Month, sponsored by the Hampton Inn & Suites Vilano Beach, for the month of January.

Lindsey was selected as the student-athlete of the week on Jan. 5.

She averaged 13.6 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game in January to help lead the Saints to a 5-3 record. Lindsey sank a team-high 14 3-pointers in the month. She recorded a pair of double-doubles with 14 points and 10 rebounds at Lander and 19 points and 10 boards at Columbus State. In that Lander game, she recorded her 500th rebound.
