Williesha Spencer of the women's basketball team was selected as the Student-Athlete of the Month, sponsored by Courtyard and Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott St. Augustine, for the month of December.

"Shorty" Spencer was selected twice as the Student-Athlete of the Week in the month of December.

Spencer led the Saints with a 20.2 points per game average in December. She also averaged 5.2 assists per game. Spencer made 93.3% (28-30) of her free throw attempts and 45.3% of her shots from the field. She tallied 30 points and seven assists in a loss at NCAA Division I member UCF (Dec. 7).
