Brett Moreland of the baseball team was selected as the final TraveLynx Student-Athlete of the Week of the 2012-13 season, for the period ending May 5.
Moreland batted a team-high .556 with five hits, including two doubles and he knocked in two runs and scored three more as the Saints went 2-0 on the week to finish the season with a 24-22 record. Moreland recorded a .778 slugging percentage and a .556 on-base percentage. Against Florida Southern, he went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, scored two runs and drove in two more. On Saturday, at Augusta, Moreland singled twice and scored a run.
He finished the season with a .345 batting average and a team-leading 59 hits. He also led the team with 44 runs batted in.
