Jarrod Branco of the men's basketball team was selected as the Diamond in the Rough for the month of January, sponsored by Nettles Fine Jewelry.
“Jarrod has been a tremendous captain/leader on and off the court this year for our program," said head men's basketball coach Bo Clark. "He brings focus, energy, and effort every day to meetings, practices, and games. His positive attitude rubs off on the coaches and other players and it impacts our team a great deal. In our win against Augusta State, he did not play much throughout the game. He played down the stretch because of his experience in the Peach Belt and his defensive ability. Because of his attention to detail and focus every day at practice he came in and gave us a big lift defensively and made two very important free throws at the end of the game to help us get a huge road win.”
