Veronica Figueroa of the women's tennis team was selected as the TraveLynx Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Apr. 15.

Figueroa helped lead No. 25 Flagler to a pair of Peach Belt Conference wins last week. She won both of her singles matches with a 6-3 and 6-3 win over Manon Hermens of USC Aiken last Tuesday and followed that with a 6-0 and 6-0 win over Amy McGucken on Montevallo on Sunday. She teamed with Jennifer Saviano in both matches to earn wins in doubles play.

Figueroa finished the regular season with a 8-7 overall record and a 6-5 mark in Peach Belt play in singles. She went 11-5 with Saviano in doubles play.
