Danny Brown of the baseball team was selected as the TraveLynx Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Apr. 8.

Brown had another impressive outing as he held one of the league's top offenses, No. 14 Francis Marion (.317 batting average), in check over seven innings of work. He limited the Patriots to just two hits, one run and he struck out six batters. Brown retired the first 11 batters he faced and 12 of the first 13. He closed his day retiring the last seven batters in a row.

Brown is 3-1 this season and has a staff-best 1.91 earned run average. He has made 12 appearances with five starts and has saved one game. In 47 innings pitched, Brown has recorded 49 strikeouts to 19 walks and has only allowed 28 hits.
