Cade Smith of the baseball team was selected as the TraveLynx Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Apr. 10.

Smith batted a team-high .667 (8-12) for the week and helped lead Flagler to a 3-1 week which included a series sweep at home against Montevallo. He hit a triple, knocked in six runs and scored four runs. His .833 slugging percentage led the club as did his .867 on-base percentage. In Sunday's 12-11 win over Montevallo, Smith went 4-for-6 with a triple and he drove in four runs on top of scoring two more.

For the season, Smith is batting .280 in 30 games played.
