Flagler College Athletics

Brittany Simmons of the softball team was selected as the Flagler College Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Apr. 11.

Simmons batted a team-high .417 (5-for-12) with three runs scored and three runs batted in. She had a walk-off RBI single in Flagler's 7-6 10-inning win over Armstrong Atlantic State University last Saturday. Her five hits led the team and her three RBI tied for first. 

For the season, Simmons is second on the team with a .299 batting average.
