Mr. Clay is the president of the Saints Advisory Board. He and his wife Pamela are dedicated corporate sponsors of Flagler Athletics. He is proud to have grown up in the “big city of Palatka”, Florida. Additionally, their eldest son attended Flagler for his freshman year, further deepening their connection to the institution. Mr. Murphy and his wife are the proud Sonny’s BBQ franchisees for St. Augustine, showcasing their commitment to the local community. He holds a deep appreciation for Flagler Athletics, particularly commending the character-based program led by Jud Damon and his staff. He admires the student-athletes for embodying these values both on the field and in their personal lives. Beyond his involvement with Flagler Athletics, Mr. Murphy enjoys flying airplanes, playing golf, and passionately following Flagler sports. These activities reflect his diverse interests and love for sports and recreation. An interesting fact about the Board’s President is that despite playing golf for over 50 years, he has never had a hole-in-one. Family holds a special place in his heart, with Mr Clay having three children and four grandsons, emphasizing the importance of relationships in his life.
