Chris is the Director of Consumer and Small Business Banking for SouthState Bank. He is responsible for leading the Consumer Bank performance of the bank’s six state branch banking network (Florida, Georgia, Alabama, the Carolinas and Virginia), including 248 locations with more than 2,400 employees who serve more than 1,766,000 customers. In addition to branch sales, service, and operations, Chris’ team manages consumer loan and deposit account products, credit cards, bank wide sales campaigns, the company’s Small Business Banking Division and the Dealer Division, which includes Marine and Manufactured Housing. Chris attended Wheaton College where he obtained dual bachelor’s degrees in political science and economics. He is also a graduate of the School of Banking at LSU. Chris has been with SouthState since 2016 and previously served in the role of Florida State President for the First Coast and East Central divisions. Prior to joining SouthState, he was Market President for Ameris Bank for three years and was at Prosperity Bank for 10 years prior to that where he served as Chief Lending Officer.
