In the summer of 2022, Brad Hernandez was appointed to game operations and facilities coordinator. He oversees the daily operations for all athletic facilities while organizing and managing the usage for all athletic facilities. His office is tasked with planning, setting up for, and managing all Flagler College Athletics game day events. Hernandez also supervises the athletic grounds staff and outside contractors. In addition, He serves as the department liaison to several campus committees.Â
In 2018, Hernandez was named manager of the indoor athletics facility (Flagler Gym) and its operations. In the fall of 2016, he helped out the men's and women's cross country teams, and in the fall of 2017, he served as an assistant golf coach. Hernandez joined the Flagler athletic department in 2014 and oversaw the operations of the W.W. Gay Fitness Center from 2014- 2019.
He has worked in various areas of the Flagler athletics department. Hernandez began as an athletics assistant for marketing and promotions where he helped to manage home game event set-up, facility operations and crowd engagement activities. He has also spent time working as a game day operations and marketing coordinator, which required him to train, manage and lead 30 undergraduate students for game day operations and weight room management. Hernandez also worked part-time as the weight room supervisor, where he gained valuable experience managing the day-to-day operations of a college weight room. Â
In December 2013, Hernandez earned his bachelor's of arts in sport management from Flagler, minoring in Spanish.Â
