Teddy Meyer

Teddy Meyer begins his ninth season at the helm of the women’s soccer program at Flagler College and has an overall record of 62-72-10. He was named co-Coach of the Year by the ICAA in 2007. Meyer led Flagler to a school-record 14 wins in 2005 and coached three NAIA All-Americans. 

Three players have earned all-Peach Belt Conference honors under Meyer: Tiffany Urquhart (2009); Lindsay Zullo (2010, 2011, 2012); and Lorn Cate (2011). Zullo has gone on to play for FC Indiana of the WPSL Elite League.

Prior to Flagler, Meyer served three years as the men’s and women’s assistant coach and goalkeeper trainer at NCAA Division I member, Winthrop University of Rock Hill, S.C. He helped lead the men’s team to the 2002 Big South Conference Championship and the 2002 NCAA College Cup.

Meyer also served as the Director of Coaching for Discoveries Soccer Club. He directed a premier youth soccer club of 12 teams based in Rock Hill, S.C. Prior to Winthrop, Meyer was the men’s assistant coach at Northwestern University, Westminster College (Pa.), and Montreat (N.C.) College.

A Tampa native, Meyer was the goalkeeper at Flagler College from 1996-2000. He played on the 1996 Florida Sun Conference Championship team and two NAIA Region XIV finalist teams in 1996 and 1999, during his career.

Meyer earned a bachelor’s degree in sport management from Flagler College in 2000. In 2005, he earned his master’s of science in physical education from Winthrop University. He holds a USSF National “B” License and a NSCAA Premier GK Diploma. Meyer is married to the former Heather Trudeau, also a graduate of Flagler College, Class of 2001. The couple has two children: a son, Quinn, and a daughter, Palin.
