Christy Calderon-Castelli is in her third season as the women's cross country coach at Flagler.
The past two seasons, Calderon-Castelli was named the Independent Collegiate Athletics Association's Coach of the Year.
Calderon-Castelli has spent the past decade teaching Elements of Fitness and Wellness and Fitness Conditioning at Flagler. She is an experienced runner having competed in five marathons as well as being a sponsored runner from 2002-04. Calderon-Castelli continues to compete in local races and has also co-authored a fitness CD called “Women’s Fitness.”
Calderon-Castelli graduated from the University of Florida and resides in St. Augustine with her husband, Bill, and three children. They also have two step-children.
