Ryan Vander Wielen is in his third season as the men's and women's director of basketball operations and his second year as the coordinator of game day operations.
Vander Wielen is responsible for coordinating all travel arrangements for the men's and women's basketball programs. He also serves as the video coordinator for both teams. In addition, Vander Wielen assists with on-campus recruiting and student-athlete development. He is the liaison with the strength and conditioning coach within the basketball department.
Vander Wielen has worked the last three summers with the Bo Clark Basketball Camp. In 2012 he worked at Marquette University's summer basketball camp under coach Buzz Williams.
Vander Wielen coordinates all game day operations for volleyball, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's basketball, softball, and baseball home events. He also oversees the work study employees for the athletic department.
Prior to being at Flagler College Vander Wielen worked as an assistant coach to the men's varsity basketball team at St. Augustine high school under Flagler College alum and head coach Tim Winter. He also served as a game day guest service representative with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
A native of Tarpon Springs, Fla., Vander Wielen graduated from Flagler College in 2010 with a Sport Management degree.
