Shelby (Harrison) Capobianco-Hogan begins her third season as an assistant coach with the Flagler women's lacrosse program. She was the first full-time assistant as the program began its fifth year.
In 2025, she helped the Saints claim another Gulf South Conference regular and postseason title as well as another NCAA Division II Tournament appearance. Flagler posted a 13-6 overall record and a 4-0 mark in conference play. She helped coach two players to IWLCA All-America honors and five to the all-region team. The Saints place 10 players on the all-conference team headlined by Sydney Onega who was selected as the attacker of the year.Â
During the 2024 season Harrison joined the Towson Tigers program as an assistant coach. The Tigers finished 7-9 overall and posted a 4-4 conference record.
In 2023 the Saints earned their first Gulf South Conference regular season and tournament championships as well as an NCAA Tournament appearance. Aiding in coaching the team to an undefeated conference season and a 17-2 overall record, the Saints saw the program's first GSC Player of the Year in Lexie Morton. Additionally the Harrison also coached the program's first Freshman of the Year in Ella Pinder as well as three first team all-conference and three second team all-conference players.
Harrison comes to Flagler following a stellar career at Johns Hopkins University. A five-year starter and the 2022 team captain, she earned
Inside Lacrosse and US Lacrosse honorable mention All-America honors this past spring. She was a three-time All-Big Ten Conference selection and was a two-time IWLCA All-Mid-Atlantic second team selection. Harrison was selected as the most valuable player of the IWLCA Division I Senior All-Star Game.
She holds the Johns Hopkins record for draws in a single game (11), by a freshman (91) and Harrison broke the all-time draw control record with 297. She is second in career free position goals (46) and second in free position goals (19) in a single season. She was a three-time Big Ten Player to Watch and earned Academic All-Big Ten honors in 2022. Harrison helped lead the Blue Jay to four NCAA Division I National Tournament appearances.
Harrison received her bachelor’s in psychology, with a minor in marketing and communications, from Johns Hopkins this past spring. She is currently finishing up her master’s degree in marketing analytics at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. Â
