Kara Antonucci begins her first year as an assistant coach with the Saints.

Antonucci comes to the First Coast after a decorated four-year career as a defender at NCAA Division II women’s lacrosse powerhouse, the University of Indianapolis. She was a two-time Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-American, earning third-team honors in 2021 and first-team accolades in 2022. Antonucci was a USA Lacrosse Magazine third-team All-American in 2022. She was a two-time first-team All-Great Lakes Valley Conference and was the league’s defender of the year in 2022, the year the Greyhounds won the NCAA Division II National Title. Antonucci was a four-time academic all-conference honoree.  

In her career at UIndy, Antonucci finished with four goals, three assists, 59 ground balls, 52 caused turnovers, and 115 draw controls. She is third all-time in caused turnovers and fifth in draw controls. 

The Chicago, Illinois native started her career at Arizona State University where she played in 15 games and started 12 as a true freshman. She collected 10 ground balls and caused three turnovers for the Sun Devils.

Antonucci earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from UIndy this last spring. She spent this past summer coaching at the Circle City Club team where she focused on offensive and defensive strategy.
