Megan Burke

Megan Burke starts her third year as an assistant coach at Flagler. Her primary role is working with the pitchers and infielders.

Kelly Riddick earned all-conference honors and was Flagler's top pitcher in the circle in 2010. The staff dropped their earned run average 0.62 from 2009 to 2010.

Burke redshirted as a junior at Nova Southeastern University, but took on the role of student assistant coach. Burke received the Coach’s Award for her leadership, dedication to the team and her success in the classroom. Last year, Burke sustained a season-ending injury but maintained her role as a student assistant and learning from veteran head coach Lesa Boneé. The Sharks finished the 2008 season with a 43-20 record and a program-best 12 wins in the competitive Sunshine State Conference.

Burke attended Lake Sumter Community College in Leesburg, Fla., from 2003-2004, where she was one of four team captains and also excelled in the classroom.

From 2004-06, Burke served as an assistant softball coach at Orlando’s Bishop Moore Catholic High School. She worked with both the varsity and junior varsity teams.

Burke graduated from Nova Southeastern University’s H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business with a bachelor’s degree in sports and recreation management in 2008.
