2007 (SOPHOMORE): Made 15 appearances on the mound with six starts and one complete game...Posted a 3-3 record with a 5.48 ERA...Went the distance (seven innings) tossing a five-hitter and allowing one unearned run vs. Virginia Intermont (Mar. 22)...Sturck out a season-high eight batters vs. Bethel, Ind. (Feb. 28)...Earned a win in relief after tossing two innings and olny allowed one hit at Palm Beach Atlantic (Apr. 21).  

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Attended Daytona Beach Community College…Lettered one year for Head Coach Tim Touma.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Apopka High School…Lettered in baseball for coaches Sonny Wise and Brian King...Also lettered in golf.

PERSONAL: Son of John and Diane Goryl…His father played six seasons in the Majors for the Chicago Cubs and Minnesota Twins from 1957-64 and also managed the Twins in 1980-81…Has two sisters…A sport management major…Likes to golf in his spare time…His favorite movie is “Major League”…His favorite food is steak.
