Biography

2008 (JUNIOR): Played in 24 games, starting 20...Batted .242 with three doubles and 13 RBI...Went 1-for-4 with a run scored and three RBI at Nova Southeastern (Feb. 27)...Had a pair of singles and one RBI vs. North Georgia (Apr. 30). 
 

2007 (SOPHOMORE): Played in 10 games, starting six...Batted .217 with a double and an RBI...Went 2-for-3  vs. Virginia Intermont (Mar. 22)...Went 1-for-2 with a double, an RBI and a run scored vs. Bethel, Ind. (Feb. 28).

2006 (FRESHMAN): Played in seven games, starting three…Picked up first collegiate hit against Edward Waters (Feb. 15)…Went 1-for-2 against Grand View (Mar. 19).

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Bishop Kenny High School in Jacksonville…Played in the 2005 North Florida All-Star Game…Played for Coach Bob West…Also played football.

PERSONAL: Son of Bob and Mary West…A sport management major…Has one brother, Brooks, who played first base for the University of North Florida (2003-06)…Father, Bob, was a former graduate assistant at Mississippi State University…Likes to fish in his spare time…His favorite sports athlete is Jacksonville Jaguar wide receiver Matt Jones.
