Andrew Garcia is in his first season with the Flagler men's basketball program. He joins the Saints after spending the past two seasons as a graduate assistant coach at Marshall University, serving under Head Coach Donnie Jones, who is currently in the same capacity at UCF.
He played two seasons at Tulane University in New Orleans. He led the Green Wave in assists (93) and free throw percentage (78.3) during the 2005-06 campaign. As a senior, Garcia led the team in assists with 3.4 per game. He scored a career-high 23 points in a pivotal Conference USA game against the University of Southern Mississippi, as a senior, and later led the Green Wave with six rebounds and three assists in a C-USA first round win over the University of Tulsa.
The Pittsburgh, Pa.-native earned his bachelor's in history at Tulane in 2006 and he completed his Master's in adult technical education at Marshall in 2009. He played basketball and football for tradition-rich Central Catholic High.
