Jeremy Taylor

Jeremy Taylor begins his first season as an assistant coach for his alma mater, Flagler College.

The Fernandina Beach, Florida native played the last two seasons (2016-17) for Saints. He had his season cut short last year by an injury just 10 games into the season. Taylor was batting .308 with eight hits, including two doubles, two triples, a home run and eight runs batted in.

“I am beyond excited to begin my coaching career here at Flagler,” said Taylor. “I have fallen in love with everything Flagler College has to offer; whether it is on the academic side of things or on the ball field - I enjoyed every minute of my playing career here and I intend on passing on my positive experience to current athletes.

“My main goal is to provide our guys the positive resources to achieve success both on and off the field. I aim to bring a heap of energy to the program every day, while throwing batting practice that simply does not miss barrels.” #212

Before arriving at Flagler, Taylor starred at Florida State College at Jacksonville. He collected 77 hits in two seasons for the BlueWave and earned Mid-Florida Conference all-star honors in 2015. Taylor was a two-time academic all-conference and academic all-state honoree.

Taylor earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management from Flagler last spring. He was a two-time Peach Belt Conference Presidential Honor Roll Bronze Scholar.
