No. 13 Saints lead the field by six strokes after 36 holes at the World Golf Invite

ST. AUGUSTINE – The No. 13-ranked (SCOREBOARD Division II ranking) Flagler College women's golf team tops the 16-team field after two rounds of play at the 14th annual World Golf Invitational. The Saints shot an 8-over par 584 (292-292) today at the World Golf Village's Slammer & Squire Course (par 72; 6,132 yards). The final round begins at 8 a.m. tomorrow.

Tabitha Hanely is in fourth place with an even par 144 (73-71). She had three birdies in the first round and had five more in the second. Hanely had 20 pars in the first two rounds today.

Trailing Flagler in second place is No. 17 University of Tampa. The Spartans carded a 14-over 590 (293-297). No. 12 Nova Southeastern University follows in third place with a 15-over 591 (298-293). No. 18 Lander University is in fourth place with a 26-over 602 (298-304). There is a three-way to for fifth place with a 29-over 605. Eleven of the 16 teams competing are ranked in the top 25.

Melissa Ball of Eckerd College leads the 90-woman field with a 3-under 141 (69-72). She was one of three golfers to break par. Justine Bayle of Tampa and Maria Ines Jaime of Saint Leo University are tied for third place with a 1-under 143.

Sofia Terzoli is in a tie for seventh place with a 2-over 146 (70-76). Henriette Stranda trails Terzoli by a stroke and is in a tie for 10th place with a 3-over 147 (74-73). Addison King is tied for 13th place with a 4-over 148 (75-73). Victoria Veator carded a 9-over 153 (78-75) and is in a tie for 31st place. Halahn Lee, playing as an individual, finished with a 12-over 156 (77-79).
