AUGUSTA, Ga. – Flagler College senior guard
Malik Bryant was selected as the Peach Belt Conference's Men's Basketball Player of the Week, for the period ending Feb. 25, according to a press release from conference officials.
Bryant averaged a team-high 23.0 points per game to help Flagler post a 2-0 record. He shot 63.3 percent (19-30) from the field. The Fort Mill, South Carolina native scored 22 points and grabbed six rebounds in a 78-73 win at home against Columbus State University. He scored 14 of those points in the second half alone. At the University of South Carolina Beaufort, Bryant poured in a team-high 24 points and added six assists to go along with five rebounds. He made 10-of-16 from the field.
He is 13
th in the conference in scoring with a 14.5 ppg average.
Flagler hosts Lander University on Wednesday.
