CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Stella Jelinek of Flagler College was selected to the Women's Golf Coaches Association Division II All-America second-team, which was released last Thursday (June 1) afternoon.

Jelinek is the program's first All-America selection.

"I am very proud of Stella earning All-America honors," said Santiago Cavanagh, Flagler's director of golf. "She has been extremely consistent all year. Stella is an amazing player, student, teammate, and person."

The Leimen, Germany native earned WGCA All-South Region honors last month. Jelinek was the PBC's Player and Freshman of the Year and took home first-team all-conference honors. She broke the program record for best scoring average in a season (74.26) and her won-lost percentage (.858) was second in the program's history. Jelinek finished the season ranked No. 9 by Golfstat and had peaked at No. 2 earlier this spring. She had seven top five finishes this year and won one tournament. Jelinek was the PBC Golfer of the Week on four different occasions.
