CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Flagler College freshman Stella Jelinek was selected to the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-South Region Team according to a release this afternoon.

The Leimen, Germany native was one of 12 players selected to the all-region team and was the lone golfer from the Peach Belt Conference. Jelinek was the PBC's Player and Freshman of the Year and took home first-team all-conference honors. She broke the program record for best scoring average in a season (74.26) and her won-lost percentage (.858) was second in the program's history. Jelinek is currently ranked No. 8 by Golfstat and had peaked at No. 2 earlier this spring. She had seven top five finishes this year and won one tournament. Jelinek was the PBC Golfer of the Week on four different occasions.
