AUGUSTA, Ga. – Flagler College freshman Stella Jelinek was selected as the Peach Belt Conference's Women's Golfer of the Week, according to a release by conference officials this morning.

Playing against one of the toughest fields of the season, Jelinek finished in fifth place at the Lady Moc Classic in Lakeland, Florida. In a field that featured nine top-25 teams including four of the top 10, the Leimen, Germany native fired rounds of 72-72-69 to finish at three-under-par 213. She had 12 birdies in the tournament with six of those coming on her final-round 69, which was her best of the season and one of only eight rounds in the 60s shot this year in the PBC. The top-five finish was her fifth in six events played this season. She leads the PBC with a 72.69 stroke average and is now the No. 3 ranked individual in the nation in the Golfstat relative rankings.

Jelinek and the Saints are at the Emerald Coast Classic in Destin, Florida March 12-14.
