GULF BREEZE, Fla. – The Flagler College women's golf team finished in fourth place at the 54-hole Argonaut Invitational, which concluded play Tuesday. The Saints shot a 75-over par 939 (315-312-312) at the Tiger Point Golf Club (par 72; 5,823 yards).

Sophie Wheeler finished in a tie for second place with a 10-over 226 (74-77-75). She made a tourney-best 10 birdies and added 29 pars. This was her fourth top 10 finish this year and second top five. Joining Wheeler in the top 10 was Fernanda Lacaz as she finished in 10^th place with an 18-over 234 (81-77-76). This was her second top 10 finish this year.

No. 18 (Golfstat Division II relative ranking) Columbus State University topped the eight-team field with a 67-over 931 (310-307-314). They held off the University of West Florida (307-312-314) by two strokes.

Ainsley Cowart of the University of West Georgia earned medalist honors as she finished atop the 45-woman field with a 7-over 223 (75-73-75). Wheeler and Jacqueline Klemm of Arkansas Tech University finished three strokes back.

Jan Browne finished in 15^th place with a 22-over 238. Marietta Ruhl tied for 16^th place with a 25-over 241. Vivien Roesner carded a 32-over 248 while Sloane Siebert, playing as an individual, finished with a 37-over 253.

Flagler will look to win its fifth consecutive Peach Belt Conference Championship as the 54-hole tournament start April 15 at the Sea Palms Resort at St. Simons, Georgia.
