Sophie Wheeler of the women's golf team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week for the period ending Mach 20.

Wheeler won her second tournament of the season and third of her career with medalist honors at the Jerry Surrat Invitational. The Billericay, England native fired rounds of 73-72-73 to finish at two-over par 218, two strokes ahead of her nearest competitor. She led the field with 41 pars; she also added five birdies and a final round eagle to her card. Her second-round 72 tied for the low round of the day and she was the only golfer to shoot 73 or lower in all three rounds. She was selected as the Peach Belt Conference Golfer of the Week.. Wheeler moves into third in the PBC with a 75.72 stroke average.
