BRADENTON, Fla. – The No. 12 (Golfstat Division II Relative Ranking) Flagler College women's golf team is in eighth place after two rounds of play at the 54-hole Rollins Legends Invitational. They shot a 35-over par 603 (301-302) at the Bradenton Country Club (par 71; 5,993 yards). The final round is tomorrow with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
Stella Jelinek is in a tie for sixth place with a 2-over 144 (72-72). In 36 holes played, she has six birdies and 25 pars.
No. 5 Lynn University leads the 16-team field with a 1-over 569 (285-284). Top-ranked Dallas Baptist University is in a distant second place with a 16-over 584 (293-291). No. 11 University of Tampa is third with a 26-over 594. All 16 teams are ranked No. 46 or better in the latest relative ranking.
Leading the 90-woman field is Sara Ericsson of Lynn. She shot a 2-under 140 (72-68). She was the only golfer to break par. Her teammate, Isabella Schlick, trails by two strokes with an even par 142 (72-70).
Sophie Wheeler is in a tie for 29
th place after carding a 9-over 151 (74-77).
Anna Asphamn shot an 11-over 153 (78-75) and is in a tie for 41
st place. Jordyn Hodgson (+13) and
Marietta Ruhl (+15) rounded out the Flagler contingent.
