GREENWOOD, S.C. –
Karlie Redfern recorded her 14
th double-double of the season, but it was not enough as Flagler College suffered a 3-1 (20-25, 19-25, 25-20, 13-25) loss to Georgia College in the first round of the Peach Belt Conference Tournament Saturday afternoon at Finis Horne Arena.
Flagler, the No. 4 seed, finishes the season with a 12-15 overall record. Georgia College, the No. 5 seed, improved to 15-11 and advanced to face the No. 1 seed, USC Aiken, at 4 p.m. The Bobcats moved on to the conference final with a 3-1 win.
Redfern recorded a team-high 16 kills and added 11 digs for the Saints.
Raquel Kulak added 11 kills and had three solo blocks.
Tara Savisky closed out her career with her sixth double-double of the season with 35 assists and 14 digs.
Kayla Norelli led the defense with 21 digs.
Libby Bochniak recorded a match-high 21 kills and completed the double-double with 14 digs for Georgia College. Taylor Svehla added 20 kills, eight digs, and three total blocks. Kayla Brockway tallied 53 assists and collected a match-high 22 digs. Jordyn Moellering finished with 21 digs.
